Gaston Schul is an independent full-service customs service provider. Since 1845, we have been supporting companies with their European customs matters. For our Customs Operations Team in Kløfta, we are looking for a Customs & Trade Professional for 37.5 hours per week.

What tasks can you expect?

As a Customs & Trade Professional, you ensure that all customs formalities are handled correctly and on time, taking all related concerns off the customer’s shoulders. You maintain close contact with customers and support and advise them on customs-related matters.

Your day will include:

• You maintain contact with customers and customs authorities.
• You identify and follow up on complex consulting inquiries.
• You ensure the proper handling of all standard customs declarations.
• You prepare and process customs documents and other fiscal documentation.
• You report customs-related issues and propose possible solutions.
• You maintain contact with customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders as well as customs and inspection authorities.
• You prepare, review and post invoices.

What qualifications do you bring with you?

You are a true team player, but you are also able to work independently. Your initiative stands out, and you are always ready to take on new challenges. Even in a hectic environment, you keep a cool head. Determination, precision and a systematic working style come naturally to you, and you have a strong sense of responsibility. You enjoy maintaining close contact with customers through various communication channels and have an excellent instinct for building and maintaining positive relationships to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

In addition, you have:

• You have completed commercial training in freight forwarding, import/export, or wholesale and foreign trade.
• You have several years of professional experience in handling customs matters and basic knowledge of applications such as dbh.
• You are familiar with the classification/tariffing of various product groups and the application of customs tariffs.
• You have very strong communication skills.
• You are fluent in Norwegian or Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• You are proficient in Office 365.
