We are seeking a Strategic Sales Consultant – Customs & UK-EU Trade (m/f/d) for our commercial market development activities in Germany & UK, with a focus on building long-term trust and presence in the customs and trade services market.

This is a hybrid role combining digital relationship continuity with strong local market presence.

What tasks await you?

This position exists to strengthen Gaston Schul’s visibility, credibility, and trust in the D-A-CH & UK market.

In customs services, clients rarely change providers quickly — decisions are driven by compliance, continuity, and risk management. Growth comes through long-term partnerships, not fast sales cycles.

The Hybrid Sales Executive ensures Gaston Schul is known and trusted before customers reassess their setup.

Your day will include:

  • Building sustained market presence in the D-A-CH & UK region through long-term relationship development
  • Developing strategic relationships with shippers, logistics providers, and cross-functional stakeholders (compliance, supply chain, finance, procurement, management)
  • Positioning Gaston Schul as a credible and reliable customs partner in a regulated, risk-sensitive environment
  • Maintaining structured CRM documentation and ensuring strong internal alignment
  • Being physically present in the market through industry events and on-site meetings where trust is built
  • Supporting early-stage commercial discussions to ensure Gaston Schul is involved before formal tenders or RFQs arise

    What qualifications do you bring?

    You are a mature and relationship-driven professional who feels comfortable operating in a slow-moving, trust-based market environment. You bring strong judgement, credibility, and the ability to engage multiple stakeholders with confidence. You enjoy building long-term partnerships and understand that sustainable growth comes through presence, continuity, and reliability rather than short-term sales pressure.

    Additionally, you bring:

    • Proven experience in customs, trade, logistics, or regulated B2B services
    • Deep understanding of customs processes, regulatory complexity, and their commercial impact
    • Evidence of long-term relationship ownership rather than short-cycle selling
    • Ability to translate operational complexity into sustainable commercial value
    • Experience engaging multiple stakeholders across compliance, operations, and management levels
    • Strong business process and solution mindset, combined with willingness to travel within the region for on-site meetings and industry events
