The EU has extended the implementation deadline for its Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The rollout originally planned for the end of 2024 will now become effective from 30 December 2025 for large businesses and from 30 June 2026 for micro and small businesses.

As part of the EU's ongoing efforts to combat sanctions evasion, a new requirement known as the "No Russia Clause" will come into effect on March 20, 2024.
Export declarations are now live through CDS. From Tuesday 04 June 2024, CHIEF will close for new export declarations and CDS will become the UK’s single customs platform. After this date users will need to submit declarations through CDS instead of CHIEF.

On 23 February 2024, the European Union adopted a new sanctions package against Russia. This 13th sanctions package included the addition of several individuals and companies to the sanctions list and additional measures against the circumvention of sanctions.
